I would like to get more involved. Went to DC....it went well. I was on the general Infectious Disease panel. Two consumers and 10 scientists/doctors. Was interesting! Registered Member For the new members For active members Posts: 633 07/12/09 9:50 AM Lost One	I'm not sure who lobbies for research, the best I could tell you today is get a hold of your local government and ask them how you could help them. The tool that has helped me in my endover has been the media, sometimes you will find a reporter that interested in your story and will follow you through the recovery process. What I would like to see is some sort of after care treatment, after the damage has been done a tool to help merge back into society. I feel we created alot of awareness and I also want to do more to create after support. I have nto figured out what it is yet. I have local groups in the area I think I will start with first. The whole trip should me how strong I am and how far I have come. I am not this illness anymore. I do have to listen to my body and take care of it. Jan- sofie told me you were on another panel. wish you well.
